Who are we ?
Centre for the Promotion of the Information and Development (CEPID) is an organization burundian together the young media professionals, experts in journalism, convinced of the role of media in development of society. CEPID is strongly aware that the job of the journalist is one of the fundamental pillars of the progress of mankind in general and of the burundian society in particular.
CEPID is a non-profit association (ASBL), non-political and non-sectarian. It is based on the fundamental principles and values include : integrity, dedication, patriotism, truth, independence, fairness, and transparency.

Missions CEPID
• Monitor and guide the media professionals ;
• Contribute to the strengthening of the capacity of journalists ;
• Contribute to the fight against misinformation and hate speech ;
• Educate young people in particular and the population in general and to the media;
• Raise awareness in the media to integrate the gender dimension in their productions ;
• Encourage the dissemination of information to support the policies of national development.
